Ecologist / Specialist

Michael graduated from the University of Hong Kong on B.Sc. degree in Environmental Science and Minor in Marine Biology.

During his undergraduate study, Michael participated in several ecology-related projects /programmes such as, University Student Sponsorship Programme (Snow Leopard in Qinghai) organized by OPCFHK and Sustainable Shui Hau Team Scientist hosted by WWF Hong Kong.

He is particularly familiar with marine fauna and well trained on SCUBA diving and qualified as Open Water SCUBA Diver (PADI) to conduct marine surveys. He obtained advanced understanding in fauna identification and practical field survey skills among Hong Kong’s marine environment during his past experience in CUHK. He also contributed to publications on sesarmid crabs, mangroves and nutrient dynamics with Prof. S.Y. Lee. Besides ecological surveys, he also has experience in working as an eco-tour guide, particularly for Eco-tour aimed at conservation education.
